I'm maxed out on subscriptions, but I wanted to say how moved I am by this tribute. Having worked in political races, it's a reminder of the skills of our best operatives. Well into Obama's second term, I was sitting in a room waiting for my mammography results in a skimpy gown when the similarly clad woman next to me said, "Hey, don't I know you from the Obama campaign?" She did! and that remark broke the tension that life with cancer evokes.
My condolences for your loss, Janos. Beautifully written. I worked on that Kerry campaign too! Through grassroots campaigns, I co-directed the Miami canvassing office. It was much fun. And had a similar team experience. Reflecting on it now, it too informed how I move now. Beautiful read.
